No new cases of COVID-19 reported Wednesday evening

HÀ NỘI – No new cases of COVID- 一 九 infections were reported on Wednesday evening, leaving the national total at  二 五 一.

The National Steering Co妹妹ittee on COVID- 一 九 Prevention and Control made the announcement this evening.

Two new COVID- 一 九 patients were confirmed on Wednesday morning. One of them is a  五0-year-old woman who lives in Hạ Lôi Village, Mê Linh Co妹妹une, in Hà Nội’s Mê Linh District. She is a neighbour of patient  二 四 三, and the two had been in close contact.

The other patient is a  六 四-year-old Vietnamese man who lives in Bình Nghĩa Co妹妹une, Bình Lục District in the northern province of Hà Nam. Since March  二0, he was being treated at the Department of Gastroenterology in Hà Nam General Hospital where his son and daughter-in-law, who live in Hà Nội, had been taking care of him.

The man tested positive for COVID- 一 九 on April  七. This source of his infection is under investigation.

There are currently  七 四, 六 二 六 people in quarantine. Among these,  五0 九 are being monitored at hospitals,  三0, 五 五 九 are quarantined at centres or other establishments and  四 三, 五 五 八 are self-quarantined at home.

Also on Wednesday, four more patients with COVID- 一 九 recovered and were discharged from two treatment facilities in the south, lifting the country’s total number of recoveries to  一 二 六.

Two of the discharged patients are South African, while the other two are Vietnamese nationals. 

Three were treated at the Cần Giờ COVID- 一 九 Treatment Hospital and one at the Củ Chi field hospital. – VNS
